Acronyms and Abbreviations

  • 1rm - One Rep Maximum (Also 3rm, 5rm, etc.)
  • AMRAP - As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible
  • EMOM - Every Minute On The Minute
  • GHD - Glute Ham Developer
  • Goat - A movement that is particularly difficult for you
  • "Can't" - We don't use this word.
  • KB - Kettlebell
  • Metcon - Metabolic Conditioning
  • OHS - Overhead Squat
  • Pood - Unit of kettlebell weight measurement; 16kg = 1 pood
  • PR - Personal Record
  • Rep - Repetition; one performance of the exercise
  • ROM - Range of Motion
  • RX - As Prescribed; performing the workout as it is written
  • SDHP - Sumo Deadlift Highpull
  • TGU - Turkish Get-Up
  • WOD - Workout Of the Day
